Vacation Bible School
Vacation Bible School

A Rich Part of the Baptist Tradition Vacation Bible School, or VBS as it is commonly known in the Christian Church, has served as a source of Bible Study during the summer while many churches take a break from the year-round Sunday School and weekday Bible Study. It is also a time when disciples, especially children and youth, get to meet others who are on vacation and visiting their town and church.

VBS has traditionally been a time that children and youth looked forward to because it was “not the normal” church service. The time that is set aside for VBS is filled with a variety of activities including Bible Study, arts and crafts, music, bus trips, games, food and so much more. VBS has been an integral part of the Baptist church history for years. That in itself speaks volumes! Everyone should experience VBS to take advantage of the different activities and learning that it offers. VBS at Shiloh in 2024 Shiloh is excited to announce that our Vacation Bible School is just a few weeks away! It will be held from July 8-12, 2024, 7pm – 8pm and we are offering both in-person and virtual classes for disciples of all ages. To attend a virtual class, click here (IT, please add the link).

This year’s theme is “God’s SuperHeroes: Adventures in Faith!”, inspired by Hebrews 11:1-2 NIV. We believe that this theme is perfect for our current times, as these superheroes teach us faithfulness, forgiveness, courage, friendship, and trust. Each faith adventure will help us to become faithful and brave heroes for God. So, mark your calendars and spread the word! Let’s experience a new adventure daily by trusting God to do what He said He will do. We can’t wait to see you there! Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. For by it the elders obtained a good report. Heb. 11:1-2
