In 2003, Pastor Carlisle was called to preach the gospel. On May 29, 2005 he was licensed by Shiloh Baptist Church, Landover MD under his Pastor, friend and spiritual father Rev. Be Louis Colleton.

Rev. Carlisle was ordained on April 3, 2010 at Shiloh Baptist Church under his Pastor and not long afterwards on April 17, 2010 Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church of Gainesville Virginia elected him as their Pastor. Rev. Carlisle earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance Management from Morgan State University in Baltimore, Maryland. He later attended classes at Howard Divinity School in Washington DC in pursuit of his MBA in Divinity which he plans to continue in the future.

Rev. Carlisle believes that the body of Christ should be elevated and enriched in every area of life. He inspires that his preaching and teaching focuses on impacting believers spiritually, developing them educationally, activating them politically and strengthening them economically. Rev. Carlisle believes his life should mimic 2nd Timothy 4:2 “preach the word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage with great patience and careful instruction”.

Rev. Carlisle is married to his suitable helpmate Vardreane’ Shipman-Carlisle and they have been blessed with a son, Carver Dexter Tyler Carlisle.
