Freddie Davis

A native of Sumter SC, Reverend Freddie Davis earned the Bachelor of Theology degree from Northwestern College School of Religion in Washington DC, and the Bachelor of Arts and the Master of Divinity degrees from the Richmond Virginia Seminary.

Reverend Davis is senior pastor of the Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church of Washington DC where he has served since 1977. His leadership has fostered the spiritual development of his parishioners, expanded the ministry’s missional initiatives, and grown the ministry’s assets.

Pastor Davis has preached on mainstages world- wide. He currently serves or has served on boards of various faith-based organizations and is active with numerous ecumenical, civic, and social associations.

Pastor Davis and First Lady Margaret, who went home to be with the Lord in November 2021, are the parents of five daughters, ten grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.

Pastor Davis is conscience of God’s work through him; and is mindful of Zechariah 4:6b, “…Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts.”
